The UVM Miller Farm is hiring a full time Equipment Operator. This position’s primary responsibility will be manure, bedding and feed management, and operating the farm’s fleet of tractors, skid steers and implements. The Miller Farm is a working dairy with a milking herd of 50-60 Holsteins. Many of the milking chores are done by students, so an ability to be courteous, helpful and exemplify safety is required.

Other minimum requirements include having working knowledge of heavy vehicle operation, including maneuvering loaders in confined spaces and safely hauling loaded wagons and trailers on roadways. Familiarity with farm nutrient management plans and/or composting is desirable. Experience supervising manual labor is a plus.
