Chapter 2 represents an amalgam of different quantitative and qualitative data to illustrate trends and track progress toward accomplishing the 25 goals of the first Farm to Plate Strategic Plan. For each a brief synopsis is provided—based on analyses provided in Chapters 3 and 4—that describes why the goal and associated strategies/actions are important. Each goal depicts one key indicator (i.e., a population indicator) that shows the major trends measured in order to demonstrate progress. Below each key indicator are additional measurements and data sources that are relevant to assessing progress toward achieving each goal. Most of these measurements and data sources are referenced in Chapters 3 and 4. Each goal also has associated strategies and actions. These strategies and actions are illustrative of a much larger set of strategies identified in Chapters 3 and 4.
