Slow Money VT to Host 2016 New England Regional Gathering

Slow Money Vermont will be hosting this year's Slow Money New England Regionial Gathering at Shelburne Farms on Friday & Saturday September 9-10, 2016. It's all about bringing people together: entrepreneurs, investors, and system leaders.
 
See innovative local food entrepreneurs from across New England present their businesses. Hear Chris Bailey, CEO of Vermont Smoke & Cure, talk about how they raised capital while maintaining brand integrity, and Jolinda LaClair, Deputy Secretary—Vermont Agency of Agriculture, Food & Markets on the "special sauce" of the Vermont food system and its Farm to Plate Network. Learn through in-depth sessions focused on Investing for the World We Want; Raising the Right Capital at the Right Time (for entrepreneurs); and Optimizing Collaboration among Food Systems Leaders & Catalysts. Network with entrepreneurs, investors, and service providers interested in building a sustainable local and regional food system.
 
Folks from across New England will gather for two days of learning, networking, and inspiration. The event will feature an Entrepreneur Showcase with enterprises from across the region. Not only that, but deep-dive sessions will focus on Investing for the World We Want, Raising the Right Capital at the Right Time (for entrepreneurs), and Collaboration & Impact Strategies for System Leaders including technical assistance providers. Registration includes a farm-to-table dinner, and two local-forward breakfasts and lunches. Take advantage of the early/bird rate of $170 until 8/17/16. Regular pre-registration is $200. Keynotes on Day 1 will getting rolling at 11 a.m., but registration & coffee will open at 9 a.m. and refreshments will be served at 10 a.m. Day 2 winds down at 3 p.m.
