Caledonia County Natural Resources Conservation District Hosts First Annual Locally Led Conservation Meeting & Community Dinner!
The Caledonia County Natural Resources Conservation District will be hosting a free dinner and community feedback forum on Thursday, November 7th at the Peacham Community Meeting House. The purpose of this meeting will be to solicit input from area agricultural producers, forest landowners, micro-gardeners, and all conservation- minded residents about the future of our working lands by identifying local priorities for Federal funding. This public meeting in combination with responses to our survey will result in a regionally focused Conservation Action Plan and directly inform the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) Local Working Group Process for Caledonia County.
Vermont is leading the nation in adopting this unique process, which allows communities to direct how Federal resources are allocated on the ground and what concerns those resources should address. Join us for an incredible opportunity to inform how Federal funds will address local concerns to create a more sustainable and vibrant community through healthy farms, forests, and waterways.
