Braiding Seeds Applications Open
We are excited to announce that applications are open for the Braiding Seeds Fellowship, a project of Soul Fire Farm Institute in collaboration with the Federation of Southern Cooperatives, which will honor the legacy of our ancestors who carried seeds in their braids across the Middle Passage by providing beginning farmers with resources, professional development, and mentorship to support their livelihood on land.
The fellowship is an 18-month-long program for beginning BIPOC farmers and land stewards living in the following US states: ME, NH, MA, RI, CT, NY, NJ, MD, VA, NC, SC, GA, FL, DC, MS, AL, LA, PA, WV, VT.
The ten selected fellows will receive $50,000 stipends as well as professional development, 1:1 mentorship, workshops, farm finance and business plan support, cohort gatherings, and individualized coaching.
