ACORN’s Farmacy Project Awarded Grant

ACORN is grateful to have received one of the grants awarded by the Middlebury Maple Run, a fantastic event that promotes outdoor engagement and physical activity. Our organization will put this generous donation towards our Farmacy summer pilot project. We will provide 45 Addison County residents with healthy food from 3 local farms, as well as counseling and nutritional resources. The program targets individuals who face food insecurity and chronic illness, while at the same time, works to bolster up-and-coming farms that often struggle to find a market for their products. The money donated to our project will go directly towards purchasing prescribed CSA shares, impacting the lives of local residents.
