The Trenchers Farmhouse Chicken Tender is responsible for working together with the Trenchers kitchen manager to oversee the care, health, daily maintenance and cleaning of our flock of 750 chickens. They are responsible for ensuring success and efficiency in daily activities involving but not limited to general maintenance of cleanliness, pasture health, sanitation, health and happiness of the ladies, daily egg collection and washing, record keeping and reporting, communicating with kitchen and other flock related maintenance. 

Job Requirements

• Clear communication with both owners & staff
• Able to lift 50 pounds frequently
• Have reliable transportation and Cell Phone 
• 18 years of age + 
• Love the ladies and have a positive team attitude
• Enjoy working as an independent, communicative and detail oriented person.
• Maintaining the Trenchers sanitation requirements for both general chicken health checks, chicken pasture areas, coop areas, egg washing station and storage. 
• Feeding, watering and tending of the chickens
• Egg collection and washing
• Pasture rotation & chicken counting
• Ensure proper record keeping of daily egg collection, washing of eggs, feeding and flock health.
