Farm stewardship increases ecological diversity, improves soil and water quality, and farmers are supported, compensated, and recognized for their positive contributions to the public good.

Goal 7 focuses on the need for both farm stewardship to foster greater ecological diversity and soil and water quality, and create systems and policies that provide not only technical support but financial compensation and public recognition for the public good value that this stewardship provides to Vermont.
